FAQ
Why should I get a babybubl?
- Because small children are vulnerable to air pollution.
- It keeps your baby safe from air pollution and infections.
- Protects your child from respiratory diseases.
- Protects your child’s cognitive development.
All in all, it’s a great investment in your child’s future health.
Do I really need one?
We would say yes to that question because it’s all about giving children the best conditions for a healthy life. The best conditions are to reduce exposure to harmful pollutants and infections.
So if you live in areas with high levels of air pollution and want to make sure they get the best possible conditions for a healthy life, have a child with preexisting respiratory conditions, or want to protect them from airborne infections when moving around in crowded places, this would definitely help you breathe easier with the knowledge that your child is breathing clean air.

How does it work?
The babybubl. sucks in polluted air from the back, pushes it through the HEPA filters, and then distributes it through the “wings” of the babybubl.
The air is introduced to the inside of the canopy at a very low velocity, which prevents turbulence. By doing this we’re able to create a microenvironment around your child, and at the same time prevent polluted air from entering through the opening of the canopy.
This technology enables us to reach a very high level of purification, without the need for encapsulation.

Does the babybubl create draught, or make my child cold?
Not at all. Your baby won’t notice a thing. We’re slowing down the velocity of the airstream so that the air exiting the wings of the babybubl is less <0,15m/s). That means it’s barely noticeable, and will not create a cooling effect.
Does it protect from bacteria or viruses?
Yes! Since we use HEPA-filter technology, with an amazing ability to capture >95% of airborne particles of any size and viruses.
Does it make a lot of noise?
No, the babybubl is actually really quiet. The noise level, measured at 20 cm, where the child’s head is, is as low as 43 dB, equal to the sound of a silent refrigerator. It’s designed to emit a soft white noise to be soothing for your child and can even help your child sleep better.
Do I need to have a ventilation window on my canopy?
Yes, for the babybubl. to work you need to make sure that your canopy has a ventilation window, most commonly made out of a mesh fabric, at the back and center of the canopy.
Which strollers and prams does the babybubl. fit?
Thanks to the flexible framework, the babybubl. is designed to fit in most strollers and prams on the market. The width, or opening of the canopy, can be anywhere between 400-500 mm. However, there are some basic conditions that need to be met, namely the presence of a mesh ventilation window in the back or center portion of the canopy.
You can read more about measurements, a list of stroller models etc. that it fits here.
How to set up my babybubl?
How long operating time does the babybubl. have?
With a fully charged battery it will keep the babybubl running for 9-18 hours depending on fan speed. Runtime might however be affected by temperature.
How often do I need to change filters?
We recommend changing the filters once every 3-4 months. This is to be able to maintain a high level of purification of the babybubl., and also to prevent eg mold or other organic material to accumulate or grow on the filters. This is something that happens to all filters, especially when exposed to the elements as much as these filters are.
Hard to keep track? The bubl. app will help you to keep track, telling you when it’s time, and even show you how it’s done. You can either order a new set of filters from us or sign up for a subscription and we’ll send you a new pair of filters every 3 months.
Is the babybubl. fabric washable?
Yes, you can easily take off the fabric and wash it in the washing machine at 40 degrees.
Is it possible to have multiple app users connected to the same babybubl.?
Yes! The babybubl. can remember up to 10 different users, and the app is free to download.
Is the Bluetooth in the babybubl harmful for my child?
No, it’s not.
The baybubl. only emits 0,025 W/kg.
This value is called a SAR-value (W/kg), which is the amount of energy being transmitted to the user by eg a Bluetooth device.
1.6 – 2.0 W/kg is the recommended value that you should not exceed according to Health and Safety agencies.
1.0 – 1.3 W/kg is what a new phone (iPhone, Samsung etc.) emits.
